We take evaluation seriously and consider it essential to study the impact of various activities on the ground as well as explore the links between increased knowledge and behavior change. Working closely with our dynamic IOM team, your data analysis skills will be focused on reviewing the raw data from base line and end line Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) surveys conducted with household’s feeding into 50 Climate Adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction, & Education (CADRE) program schools.
The CADRE program is one of the few education sector interventions seeking to measure its ability to impact the general public. We will require a technical report of the results by location and any interesting trends or patterns revealed by the data. We will also require visual results that are easy to digest and understand.
Responsibilities
Utilize a statistical analysis program to review raw data from base line and end line KAP surveys and report any statistically significant patterns or trends. The technical report should review impact, end line KAP results by country and 8 islands/atolls, and other interesting patterns or trends.
Create easily digestible visuals of interesting data results. The visuals are intended for use with a non-technical audience.
Skills
2+ years of data analysis experience, preferably in the education sector
Previous experience independently writing reports or publications that include technical data analysis
Advanced skills in statistical analysis with tools such as, SAS, SPSS or R
Ability to work with constructive criticism as well as adhere to deadlines
Independent, result oriented worker, who treats people with dignity and respect regardless of cultural, religious, or economic background and otherwise embodies the principles on the United Nations
Previous experience with the Micronesia region an advantage
Offer
Short-term contract: 6-8 weeks with initial 2 week probation period
