Required Skills:

Microsoft SQL Server Report Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) developer to assess user requirements and work with the BI team in developing and maintaining reports, cubes and dashboards. The developer must have strong SQL Server 2008 R2/2012, SSRS and SSAS skills, and working knowledge of SharePoint.

Job Details:

This position will be based at UNICEF’s New York Headquarters. *Y*ou will report to the team lead and work within a team dedicated to this new initiative at UNICEF.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Participate in the assessment of customer requirements, determine technical feasibility and document results.
  • Draft technical specifications based on functional requirements.
  • Develop BI applications - SSRS reports, SSAS analysis cubes, and dashboards.
  • Perform unit testing.
  • Assist in the creation and enhancement of design and development standards.
  • Ensure in-depth application testing and integrate quality into all work.
  • Provide draft user and technical application documentation
  • Maintain the legacy Cognos BI environment

The skills and experience required for this assignment are:

· Relevant experience and proficiency in SQL Server reporting and analysis services (SSRS and SSAS)

· 5 years or more developer experience in a corporate or large non-profit setting.

· Experience with the complete systems development lifecycle process

· Ability to write detailed documentation (use cases, configuration instructions, and models) for both technical and non-technical audiences

· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Ability to work with a team as well as independently in an overall mutli-cultural environment.

Duration of the Consultancy: 11 months

Pay Rate: $437 per day
