PSI seeks candidates for a two month research consultancy to support the evaluation of a rural hand-washing promotion program implemented in Nigeria by the Society for Family Health, an independent member of the PSI global network. This consultancy will require up to 10 days travel to Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Develop evaluation study design in consultation with PSI and SFH staff
- Design and conduct fieldworker training to ensure high quality data collection
- Analyze data in consultation with PSI and SFH staff
- Produce final evaluation report by February 15, 2015
Qualifications
- Degree in public health, statistics, epidemiology or other related field
- Experience designing and conducting/managing quantitative research fieldwork training, data collection, and data entry in developing countries required
- Excellent written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and training facilitation skills
- Experience with electronic data collection preferred
- Experience with state-of-the-art measurement approaches in the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector, including structured observation of hand-washing behaviors, strongly preferred
