The opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Director to join the Scope Team, based in our Port Moresby, PNG Office. This could be your chance to be an influential partner in a unique and exciting organization.

The role:

The Regional Director – Pacific Rim reports to the International Operations Manager and is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of all Scope Global programs/projects and activities in the Pacific Rim region, ensuring that all financial, programs/projects and business targets are met.

This role is initially offered on a one year full time, fixed term contract basis subject to satisfactory performance and on-going government funding.

The key responsibilities include:

· Strategic leadership;

· Regional management and program delivery;

· Financial management;

· Effective team performance.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in international development, project management, business management with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a senior management or similar role;
  • A visionary and a strategic leader who can work effectively at senior government levels, across cultures and lead a multidisciplinary team;
  • Demonstrable strong organisational, administrative, risk management, business development and financial management skills;
  • Exceptional interpersonal, enabling, facilitation and influencing skills to support the building of an effective team, and in establishing and maintaining relationships with a variety of external and internal stakeholders, and across a diversity of cultures;
  • Knowledge and experience in OHSW, Child Protection, Gender in Development, quality and continuous improvement systems and processes, project management and reporting systems.

A working knowledge of international development programs will be highly regarded.
