AECOM was awarded the Haiti helth infrastructure program (HHIP) by the United States Agency for international Development (USAID), under the contract, AECOM will provide planning, design and construction management services of the upgrading of selected medical facilities in support of strengthening the infrastructure and capacity of the haitian Ministry of Health,

Specific responsabilities:

  • Review all vehicle logs daily to ensure logs are completeand correspondto odometer sign each logbookat the end of the dayto show proof of review; report any discrepancies to the Operations Manager
  • Collect each log each week, review with Operations Manager for signature, file logs away separated by each vehicle for keeping and audit purposes; logs will be kept by vehicle/month
  • At the end of every month, review the logbooks for all trips that are related to personal use; these trips are to be recorded and the total miles added up (conversion from kilometers to miles); The vehicle Fleet Manager/Coordinator is to inform all persons of the total personal miles driven for the month and the cost of reimbursement owed by individual persons ($.56 rate); personal use is to be tracked/recorded/filed on a omonthly basis
  • Ensure vehicles have all necessary equipents, safety kits, first aid kits at all the time
  • Ensure that drivers are maintainingclean and operational vehicles (including maintaining a fuel level of at least 1/4 at all times)
  • Ensure that vehicles areare currentwith all necessary paperwork and stickers required by the government of Haiti and that all paperwork are located in the vehicles; keep up to date with any changes implemented by GOH
  • Serve as the point of contact for all vehicle related matters, lead in the reporting of accidents and vehicle incidents as well as maintaining all records of vehicle incidents and accidents
  • liaise with the Operations Assistant to be aware of all logistics matter
  • Track vehicle locations via GPS to ensure vehicles are following approved logistics plans
  • Ensure vehicle tracking board is up to date and tack storage of vehicles at during non working hours
  • Liaise with finance Officer for all issues related to vehicle repairs and costs as well as needed fuel vouchers
  • Coordinate with the drivers for any and all repairs/ maintenance related to the vehicles as well as vehicle part (tires) and report needs to the Operations Assistant for procurement

Qualifications:

1) 2+ years experience in logistics or fleet Management\

2)Strong Organization and attention to detail, ability to maintain good records

3) Strong Knowledge of Excel, ability to do simple match calculations

4) Strong communication skills- ability to work with a team

5) Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Preferred:
1) Knowledge of USAID and USG policies re: vehicles
2) Prior experience working on USAID or USG projects
3) Previous experience working as a mechanic or mechanical knowledge of vehicles
