Network Engineer - Microsoft

Reporting & Supervision:
The position will report primarily to Data Center Director; however, additional supervision will be provided by the Vice President, Global Operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Hardware and virtual hardware technical support. This includes IT infrastructure (both hardware and software) consisting of server blade systems, storage area networks, and data networks.
- Systems support, patches, upgrades in the following areas: VMware, vCenter, Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012, etc.), Group Policy, Microsoft Exchange (2010, 2013, etc.), Microsoft System Center, Operations Manager, Config Manager, Secunia, Symantec Endpoint Protection, CommVault, Enterprise Vault, AirWatch
- Server deployments and decomissioning
- Work with other server team members on software and hardware life cycle planning
- Provide higher tier support for lower tier IT staff as needed
- Monitor intrusion detection logs (Sourcefire)
- Work with other server team members on other areas as needed
- Assist with maintaining documentation of systems (MediaWiki)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent work experience;
- In depth experience with all modern MS Windows Server and Client OS;
- In depth experience with administration, installation/upgrades, and configuration of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, WSUS, System Center, Config Manager;
- Understanding of backup systems as well as OS and application recovery methods;
- Functional knowledge of all aspects of IT and how they all integrate;
- Proficiency with project management, job estimation, financial awareness;
- Strong communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills; and
- Strong commitment to mission and values of the organization.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Some experience desirable with antivirus and backup software, linux, LAN/WAN Office365, Microsoft Azure, AirWatch, Cisco UCS, Cisco Unified Call Manager, EMC SAN (VNX).
