QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in instructional technology, corporate communications, technical communications, computer information systems, media arts and design, business administration, public administration, computer science, information technology, international development and/or organizational development. Due to the broad range of activities, equivalent relevant experience is a major qualification.
- Minimum one to two years of work experience in a related field or organization.
- High technology literacy and demonstrated ability in computer software skills for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and graphics (Microsoft Office and Adobe products), online communications and management systems, and the ability to learn new software.
- Experience working with US Government systems (USAID, State Department, CDC, etc.) a plus.
- Experience living or working in developing countries (experience with volunteer organizations such as Peace Corps is a plus) is desirable to understand program context, field realities, and technical needs.
- Fluency in English (written and oral) required and ability to speak and work at professional level in French/Spanish is required; French is preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Experience working with teams to achieve results in a fast-paced environment as well as the ability to work independently, take initiative, and use good judgment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills and a particular attention to detail required.
- Ability to learn complex program procedures and a commitment to problem-solving.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with professional colleagues in a broad range of developing country, nongovernmental, governmental, and international organizations within multiple socio-cultural contexts.
- Demonstrated competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality. Excellent time management and multi-tasking ability.
- Experience with online platforms: content management systems, asynchronous learning delivery systems, project management software (i.e., Basecamp), webinars and teleconferencing utilities, social networks, online databasing, video production and learning management systems (i.e., Moodle).
- Experience with graphic design software (i.e., Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop). Experience with video production software, information mapping software (MS Visio), virtual course development software (i.e., Articulate Storyline, GoAnimate) is a plus. Knowledge of basic HTML/CSS is a plus.
