Required Skills:

The SharePoint User Support Analyst should possess a broad knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013/online integrated solutions and will be expected to develop an understanding of UNICEF knowledge management business processes with an appreciation of how these processes may be supported by SharePoint technologies.

Job Details:

This position will be based at UNICEF’s New York Headquarters. You will report to a section manager and work within a team dedicated to this new initiative at UNICEF.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Assist UNICEF business divisions units and country offices in implementing SharePoint based collaboration and publishing sites that address specific business needs.

· Provide proactive training and coaching to staff during site building exercises, resolution of support incidents and in more formal sessions (in person or online) to increase adoption and use of best practices

· Provide coaching and mentoring to business users as required on an ad-hoc and informal basis.

· Assist SharePoint Power Users with a proactive business focus ensuring staff are able to effectively leverage solutions and follow best practices.

· Assist SharePoint platform (2010/2013/Online) Site Owners with site administration responsibilities.

· Maintain and help prioritize both the Issues list and Enhancement list

· Development of new solutions on the SharePoint platform.

· Assist UNICEF Helpdesk where necessary.

· Maintain an online Knowledgebase and Resource centre covering site building best practices, techniques, tips, solution recipes and FAQs.

· Develop support documentation and/or scripts where required.

The skills and experience required for this assignment are:

· 5 + years IT experience in a corporate or large non-profit setting.

· 4 + years MS SharePoint, with some exposure to SharePoint 2013;

· Ability to build Infopath Forms

· Good understanding of and ability to work with core SharePoint features ie. document libraries, lists, webparts, workflows, metadata, taxonomy, search, site settings and configuration, user administration.

· Exposure to SharePoint Designer desirable.

· Experience troubleshooting, supporting, and/or administering Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013/online

· Passionate about learning new technology and able to learn quickly.

· Think flexibly, independently and strategically to resolve client issues, often interacting with other support or client teams.

· Candidate must be self-motivated, demonstrate very strong initiative, and be able to prioritise and self-direct work.

· Ability to successfully manage the overall process of incident resolution from initial call through resolution.

· Ability to follow-up on escalated issues to ensure timely resolution.

· Ability to document incidents and resolutions completely.

· Strong troubleshooting and overall problem solving skills

· Ability to be self-starter and to work with minimum supervision.

· Experienced in a multi-cultural and gender sensitive work environment.

· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work with a team as well as independently

Duration of the Consultancy: 11 months

Pay Rate: $450 - $500 per day
