A bit about PSI/India

We’re looking for a values-driven leader… someone who believes commercial business approaches can generate lasting social good. We are looking for someone who is able to manage change, a self-starter and a entrepreneur at heart. PSI has been operating a large social marketing program in India for over twenty years. Over that time the team has developed a broad product mix, including a nationally recognized social marketing condom brand MASTI condoms. The sales and marketing department in India is a small, but dedicated, team, committed to ensuring a viable business that serves the needs of the underserved in India.

YOU WILL

• Establish a social enterprise for PSI India’s sales and marketing activities India. This includes ensuring compliance with all the related and applicable laws and regulations in all areas including local taxes, employment, health and safety.
• Manage the transition of product social marketing activities to the social enterprise, working with PSI DC, the PSI/India board and PSI India’s Managing Director.
• Develop a viable business plan for the social enterprise, including profit/loss analysis, product and service mix assumptions, staffing strategy and capital investment requirements. Lead the development of strategic vision for the development of product portfolios by including newer product(s), introducing new product categories or augmentation of existing product portfolio.
• Provide leadership in development of the strategic plan and commercially viable business ideas that support and contribute to achieving PSI mission and vision.
• Lead and develop financial plans in achieving strategic vision of the social enterprise.
• Instill advanced FMCG and Ethical Products and Services marketing discipline as the core operating principle of all PSI activities in India.
• Create innovative and nimble methods to test-market and scale new products and services in India and regionally as appropriate.
• Strengthen supply chain approaches to cost-effectively harmonize upstream supply with downstream demand.
• Increase the degree of our data-driven decision making resulting in better consumer and market insight, as well as enhanced use of routine monitoring data
• Leverage the fast changing cyber world to update and refresh our marketing mix decisions
• Drive real operating improvements in the sales and marketing function within PSI India and the new social enterprise. This should include an analysis early on of existing resource allocation and utilization against planned strategies.

Yin and Yang. You have an inherent restlessness to achieve real results, but are not easily frustrated when they don’t happen on your timeline.

Language skills. Fluent in English and Hindi.
