Required Skills:

The intranet infrastructure administrator should possess a broad knowledge of infrastructure management, applications administration tasks, and Domino platform/environment and applications/site management.

Job Details:

Provide ongoing technical administrative support, monitoring and maintenance of the Domino application servers in UNICEF’s Internet and Intranet infrastructure. Assist with any upgrades to or re-architecture of the Domino application server environment as well as database usage. Assist with the management of the Google search appliance for the UNICEF Intranet. Assist with the dissemination of Domino template applications and troubleshooting of existing databases. Assist with ad hoc projects.

This assignment will be performed remotely and the working hours will be flexible. Weekly reports must be submitted by Friday.

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Provide ongoing support to the Domino to SharePoint migration project by doing an analysis of the content maintenance and usage of the existing Intranet and application databases in order to identify those that should be migrated, archived or deleted from the system.
  2. Archive or delete Domino databases from all of the Domino servers as they are migrated to the SharePoint environment. Update the configuration of the Google Search Appliance as sites are migrated or deleted.
  3. Perform Administrative functions for Domino Applications servers on a weekly basis and provide weekly report:
  4. Review of Application Servers for the Domino environment and network
  5. Monitor overall Domino server performance
  6. Monitor database replication and troubleshoot failures
  7. Create the monthly domlog databases
  8. Create the monthly log analyser databases.
  9. Monitor SAV logs/scheduled
  10. Create website specific log analyzer databases for specific content owners.
  11. Monitor agents
  12. Maintain server documentation database
  13. Maintain the Domino Databases inventory spreadsheet.
  14. Create the monthly domlog and log analyzer databases.
  15. Assist with changes to the configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of the Google Search Appliance based on the requests. Assist with the replacement of the existing Intranet Google Appliance with new Appliance following the test period.

The skills and experience required for this assignment are:

  • Advanced university degree in a computer technical area
  • 4-5 years’ experience of Domino administration
  • 4-5 years web server administration experience
  • Working knowledge of O/S platforms, particularly 2003 and Sun Solaris
  • Experience with Google Search appliance
  • Good judgment and planning skills
  • Ability to work under general supervision
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Working knowledge of Domino server infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of Domino server infrastructure
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills ·

Duration of the Consultancy: Part - time, 2 days a week for 11 months.

Pay Rate: $300 per day
