Tetra Tech ARD (http:www.tetratechintdev.com/), headquartered in Burlington, Vermont is accepting applications from qualified Human Resources Specialist candidates for the Home Office. The HR Specialist is a member of Tetra Tech ARD’s Human Resources team and is responsible to the Director of Human Resources. This individual supports the Human Resources Manager and Director in organizing and administrating human resources functions for the company, in the US and around the world. As is true for all members of the Human Resources team, the HR Specialist is expected to display exemplary interpersonal communication skills, discretion, professionalism, and thrives in a team setting. The position is based in Burlington, Vermont.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the new hire process for new domestic and expatriate staff;

* Manage the development and distribution of employment agreements for new overseas US expat and third country national employees;

* Create new hire payroll & benefits packets for employees and candidates for home office and overseas positions, and update forms and documents as needed;

* Process deduction, change, and termination information in HR database;

* Maintain contact list for overseas employees;

* Manage and monitor all COBRA administration;

* Coordinate applications and purchase coverage for short term accident protection and medical insurance for project travelers, including entering/getting approvals in procurement database;

* Assist Human Resources Manager with open enrollments for health insurance and the Tetra Flex benefits program;

* Run Oracle reports as needed by various staff;

* Manage, enter, and maintain HR data on the company SharePoint site;

* Provide support to domestic and international employees regarding benefits inquiries and any other HR related issues;

* Support employee recognition initiatives and supplemental benefit programs in coordination with HR Director and Workplace Advisory Group;

* Conduct new employee benefit orientations, sign up employees for benefits, conduct exit interview sessions for terminating employees;

* Coordinate with corporate HR and IT to ensure all new employees are correctly set up in the HR system;

* Coordinate with corporate payroll to ensure all new hires are set up, any deductions/changes are reflected in the payroll report;

* Provide backup support to accounting specialist ensuring timecards are completed, submitted and approved for bi-weekly and monthly paid employees; and

* Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and necessary.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of an Associate’s degree or three years related work experience required;

* Minimum two years of direct experience in Human Resources;

* HRIS experience required: Oracle experience strongly preferred;

* Experience in a federal contracting environment strongly preferred;

* High level of reliability, discretion and follow through;

* Very strong organizational skills and great attention to detail;

* Must be extremely dependable, trustworthy, and flexible;

* Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and sometimes intense work environment;

* Effective time management skills and ease in multitasking;

* Must be an energetic, enthusiastic, and positive team player;

* Exemplary interpersonal and intercultural communication skills absolutely required; and

* U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is mandatory.
