Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

The Solomon Islands Partnership Facility (SIPF) is part of the Australian bilateral program between the Governments of Australia and Solomon Islands, funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
As the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, you will be required to assist DFAT to understand what impact its aid is having in the areas of economic growth, governance, health and education as well as other areas may be added as required. You will undertake a range of case studies and impact evaluations on key areas of outcome for the Australian Aid program in the Solomon Islands; support research and communication with regards to special studies, good news stories, lessons learned, and website content as well as developing relevant data collection tools for the conduct of field based data collection. In addition, you will be required to deliver training on data collection techniques and to provide high quality monitoring and evaluation advice to the Counsellor Governance and the wider SIGOV and DFAT teams.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a university degree in monitoring and evaluation; experience in monitoring and evaluation including theory of change and logic model analysis, the preparation of realistic and practical indicators, the development of tools and systems to collect data, and data collection using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. You must have proven experience in performing field data collection using both quantitative and qualitative methods, and in particular questionnaire development, focus group and/or key informant interviews. It is also important that you possess practical experience in training and/or mentori ng.
