About the team
The Government & Multilaterals department leads our engagement with the Australian Government and other international organisations and donors, to help benefit lives of children and their communities through policy influence and program development. The Grants team is a core contributor to both the income and supporter experience objectives of the Government and Multilaterals segment.
About this role
The Grants Acquisition Senior Specialist is a senior member of this team, leading the pursuit of prioritised funding opportunities, to drive growth in World Vision's income, impact, and influence. This is done through building relationships, pre-positioning, opportunity identification, and the development of high-quality and successful concepts, program designs, proposals and tender responses. This requires close collaboration with other WV teams – particularly within Field Partnerships – as well as with other WV offices and partners. This includes helping to give advice and build others skills in grants acquisition, proposal development, and understanding of the requirements of our international donors and partners.
Key accountabilities include:
- Leading program design and proposal development to pursue funding opportunities with government and multilateral supporters
- Identify opportunities to develop, grow, and pursue prioritised grant funding
- Support processes for identifying and selecting those who will hold ongoing responsibility for donor engagement and project implementation, as required
- Build credible and trusted relationships with prioritised government and multilateral donors, or implementation partners, in collaboration with other WVA teams and WV offices
About you
As the successful applicant, you will have exceptional skills in proposal, grant and/or tender writing, relationship management and partnering, as well as experience in program design for development programs. You will be able to utilise your previous experience working in developing country contexts, and your understanding of the international aid landscape and key donors. You will thrive working within a diverse and fast paced environment that includes tight deadlines, and are comfortable with pursuing financial targets.
