The Program
The PNG Provincial and Local-level Governments Program (PLGP) is a partnership between the governments of Australia and PNG to support and improve the quality of decentralized service delivery to the people of PNG through technical support provided to provincial governments and key national agencies.

In line with the change in strategic directives from both the Government of Papua New Guinea and the Government of Australia, the program has recently repositioned to provide a ‘Whole of Government’ support approach, focused primarily on public financial management.

The Position
Coffey are now seeking applications for the position of Strategic Program Analyst. This position will coordinate the implementation of the PLGP ‘Learning for Action’ strategy, which forms a significant part of the programs new Monitoring Analysis Learning Evaluation Reporting (MALER) Framework. The position will coordinate MALER related activities across all areas of the PLGP Program Management Office (PMO). The position also has a strong connection with the Technical Advisors (TA) and in particular, with the Lead Technical Advisors of each TA Team.

The Person
The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in political science, public administration or management (or similar) and a personal willingness and drive to keep abreast of the latest development thought in PNG and internationally and convert this into effective action. Together with experience in monitoring and evaluation and the utilisation of lessons learned the ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate the ability to analyse and synthesize information so that it contributes to organization learning and knowledge. Strong written communication skills are imperative to the success of this position.
