PSI seeks qualified candidates for the position of Global Business Systems Associate Program Manager. The Global Business System department provides technical support to PSI countries to implement DHIS 2, as a monitoring data management information system (MIS). The position is based in Washington, D.C. with 30% International travel and reports to the Program Manager of the Global Business Systems unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has a varied and challenging role providing both budgetary oversight and support in addition to technical backstopping for selected country platforms and US based global health partnership engagement.
Duties include:
- Liaises with the Malaria and Child Survival Department (MCSD) technical advisors to implement a quality improvement framework for a MalariaCare project in 5 countries.
- Fulfill other Global Business System program management and technical tasks as required
- Coordinates and/or supports the implementation of DHIS2 as project monitoring tool.
- Works to implement and follow project work plan.
- Manages project budget and liaises between MCSD technical advisors and DHIS2 technical consultants to ensure adherence to high quality DHIS2 products.
- Drafts quarterly progress reports for the MalariaCare project.
- Maintain and disseminate technical resources in these areas, particularly through online knowledge management and other relevant channels.
- Provide remote and/or in-person technical assistance to MCSD priority countries when needed.
- Develop and lead DHIS2 related trainings where needed.
- Contribute to the MIS knowledge base for documentation.
- Support the MIS DHIS2 Technical Helpdesk.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with DHIS2 required
- Master's degree in a relevant subject (MPH, MS, etc.) or equivalent experience
- At least two years work experience in a developing country, preferred
- Demonstrated ability for project management required with strong attention to detail, efficiency, logical decision-making and responsive and effective communication skills.
- Familiarity with Malaria interventions highly desirable.
- Familiarity with USAID, Global Fund and other international donors desirable.
- Excellent writing abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust cross-cultural communication skills
- Proficiency in French highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Access, HTML, etc.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills as well as analytical, organizational, interpersonal skills, and writing skills; the ability to work efficiently and independently under pressure; and a passion for achieving results.
