Abt Associates seeks a Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID-funded Agriculture program in Colombia.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief of Party will provide overall technical, administrative and financial management leadership; prepare, review and monitor contract reporting and deliverables; and liaise with the Abt Associates home office, relevant USAID personnel and project partners.

Skills Prerequisites

• An advanced degree in Agriculture, Ag Policy, Agricultural Economics, Economic Development, International Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing projects as a senior manager. Chief of Party experience with USAID projects preferred.
• Experience managing donor-funded projects in Latin America, particularly the Andes region. Colombia experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting Agriculture and Food Security programs.
• Demonstrated ability to work and coordinate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including national and local governments, civil society organizations, private sector representatives and local communities.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to manage high-level relationships and motivate subordinates across large geographies
• Fluency in Spanish And English

Minimum Qualifications
MA/MBA with 13-15 years OR PhD with 8-10 years of experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
