Project Summary:
The purpose of this project is to provide technical and advisory services to the donor and implementing partners in the areas of project monitoring, evaluation, research, organizational learning and knowledge management to enable MSI to fulfill its contracted deliverables.
Position Summary:
A part-time, junior level M&E Technology Consultant is needed to provide support to the M&E Technology Specialist on an ongoing monitoring and verification program. The consultant will assist the M&E Technology Specialist conduct geospatial analysis, create graphic and cartographic products as well as identify new data sources. Additionally, the consultant will build and maintain cloud-based libraries for cataloguing program-related documents.
Responsibilities:
The junior level M&E Technology Consultant’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organizing and maintaining cloud-based, program-related reference libraries
- Processing and standardizing collected geospatial data, including the generation of metadata
- Creating graphic and cartographic products
- Drafting training manuals and other program-related documents.
- Other related assignments as directed by the M&E Technology Specialist or Technical Director
Requirements:
The junior level M&E Technology Consultant must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelors degree in international affairs, geography, GIS or related field
- Familiarity with QGIS, ArcGIS and/or other GIS software as well as mobile data collection apps
- Experience with MS Office and Windows as well as data visualization software
- Working knowledge of Android and iOS operating systems and advanced smart phone functions
- Ability to multi-task under pressure to meet deliverables within a given timeframe
