The Revenue Processing Associate is primarily responsible for timely and efficient depositing of donations, data entry, file imports/exports/syncing, data hygiene, and updating/creating/maintaining accurate donor records. This position also supports the department with invoicing and issue/work order tracking. A major donor database conversion has taken place in August 2014 and the residual cleanup and set up is ongoing; as such we expect the parameters of this position to evolve significantly in the short term, and the ideal candidate will be flexible and open to change.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Batch, scan, process, and deposit daily donations (check, credit card, eft, stocks, matching gifts, etc.);
  • Execute donor lookups for all donations. Create, update and assign donor records;
  • Monitor daily/weekly quality control reports of biographical information, new records, address verification/hygiene: develop new reports as needed and perform data hygiene tasks;
  • Review, research, and combine duplicate records on a regular basis;
  • Process return mail: research address and other updates and manage bulk returns with vendor;
  • Process monthly Phone/address appends, and other biographical and administrative data appends;
  • Perform data imports and exports from vendors and across multiple databases;
  • Monitor and assign incoming department issues and workorder requests;
  • Process vendor invoices for payment;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in current and new technologies;
  • Create reports to support the External Relations mission overall;
  • Back up for other functions in External Relations Operations as needed;
  • Participate in special projects as needed

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent
  • 2 to 3 years of clerical/admin support positions.
  • 2 to 3 years of work experience preferably in a fundraising, development operations, advancement services or customer service or related field, particularly in a non-profit environment preferred

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent computer skills: facility with MS Word, Excel, Access and email/internet software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills: possess the ability to communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues and vendors and works well within a team environment;
  • Solid organizational skills: the ability to work productively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and collaborative environment and the ability to independently manage a multi-faceted workload and meet strict deadlines;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail a must; sensitivity when working with highly confidential information and ability to maintain complete discretion at all times;
  • Ability to identify areas to increase efficiency of our systems;
  • Proven ability to plan and manage a variety of projects and high work volume: must work well under pressure, prioritize, show flexibility, and solve problems creatively;

Preferred:

  • Solid experience and understanding of fundraising or accounting software is helpful; roundCause environment or other Salesforce-based applications preferred; SQL programming is a great plus;
  • Demonstrated aptitude for analyzing and interpreting data and systems: ability to identify areas to increase efficiency a plus.
