Chemonics seeks multiple long-term technical experts for an anticipated multiyear, USAID-funded program to accelerate the introduction and scale-up of priority health technologies and interventions in support of USAID's Global Health Bureau/Center for Accelerating Innovation and Impact priorities. The anticipated program will provide essential analyses and activities to address supply and demand questions about relevant health markets and economies. This program will promote successful product implementation and scale-up by ensuring that key analyses are available to inform planning and execution. Most critical is the analysis of supply- and/or demand-side bottlenecks to the introduction and scale-up and the identification of areas for focus and prioritization. Positions will be based in Washington, D.C., with travel to the field. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world?.

Chemonics seeks technical specialists with expertise in the following areas:

  • ?Conducting supply and demand bottleneck analysis
  • Researching supply and demand market questions, including but not limited to: demand forecasting, marketing sizing and projections, "competitive" landscaping, supplier landscaping, portfolio analysis and planning, market-shaping opportunities, and market segmentation
  • Developing business model design and financial analysis (such as pricing, financing sources, distribution mark-ups)
  • Utilizing market-shaping diagnostics to identify relevant market-shaping opportunities
  • Evaluating opportunities for new and/or existing interventions to fill gaps in the existing intervention landscape
  • Conducting marketing research and public opinion polling

Qualifications:

  • ?Master's degree or higher in economics, business, marketing, or other relevant field
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in international development, market research, or similar fields
  • Experience with data collection and analysis
  • Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with donors, industry experts, partners, and staff
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills; French, Spanish, or Portuguese language skills preferred
