CARE is a leading international humanitarian aid organisation fighting global poverty, with a special focus on working with women and girls to bring lasting change to their communities.

CARE International in Papua New Guinea (PNG) is looking to fill the position of Gender Advisor. A key aspect of this position will be to support CARE PNG to implement important CARE International commitments including the Gender Policy and CARE Australia’s Gender Equity and Diversity Policy.

We are seeking candidates with experience in women’s empowerment and/or gender equality and diversity in a development or humanitarian assistance environment. To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated skills and experience in training, coaching, mentoring and capacity-building of local and international staff as well as strong communications skills and the ability to build mutually beneficial relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. Experience in PNG or the Pacific is highly desirable.
