Social Impact (SI) is an international development management consulting firm working to enhance the effectiveness of international development organizations and the programs they support. SI works in the sectors of democracy and governance, health, education, economic growth and environment.

SI seeks an Operations Intern to join our team in Arlington, VA. The Operations Intern will support the Senior Corporate Operations Manager with a variety of organizational initiatives. The position is fast paced, and a successful intern will be adaptable, solution-oriented, and experienced in prioritizing between competing tasks under multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities:

· Conducting internet-based and internal file-based research;

· Coordinating and preparing inter-departmental meetings and trainings;

· Developing, formatting, and organizing departmental documents in Word and PDF; and

· Other short-term research and organizational work as needed on an ad hoc and on-demand basis.

Requirements:

· Must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and be a current graduate student or have recently completed a graduate degree;

· Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel;

· Background in business/finance and experience with Microsoft Sharepoint preferred; and

· International work experience preferred, especially in a developing setting

Location: Social Impact HQ offices in Arlington, VA (Courthouse Metro stop); occasional travel to and from Washington, DC

Compensation:Monthly stipend of $500 provided with minimum 20 hour work week schedule.
