The Communications and Knowledge Management Officer, Child Health Targets Impact Study (chTIS) provide communications and knowledge management support to the Child Health Targets Impact Study (chTIS), a five-year initiative undertaken in partnership with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and being implemented in Cambodia, Guatemala, Kenya and Zambia. The role reports to a member of the Evaluation and Learning team who has the role of co-Investigator on the study.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Support the World Vision chTIS Principal Investigator or her designee with the design of the chTIS Communications and Engagement Plan.
· Support the World Vision chTIS Principal Investigator or her designee with the preparation of a knowledge management operational plan in alignment with the chTIS Communications and Engagement Plan.
· Coordinate a Communications and Engagement Working Group to tap into already available talent within the organization to provide strategic guidance to the chTIS Communications and Engagement Planand develop and/or review products named in this plan as appropriate.
· Work with the team of researchers responsible for the chTIS to produce research communications material based on technical research products that can be adapted as appropriate by stakeholders for their use.
· Ensure integration with Partnership communications and advocacy teams.
· Provide support to health technical leads within the Sustainable Health team, National Offices, Regional Offices and Support Offices to ensure appropriate access to chTIS research communications products and facilitate access to additional chTIS resource persons as appropriate.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
· Degree in communications, media, international development or related field.
· Formal academic training in public health and research methods (certificate program acceptable).
· Demonstrated expertise in scientific writing (or presentations) for non-technical audiences and in innovative communication technologies.
· Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work across cultures, demonstrated experience of influence of non- reporting relationships and authority.
· Ability to effectively communicate (orally and in writing) with many different
functions, cultures and levels in the organization.
· Fluency in English.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in international development sector, in (research) communications roles, working in international organisations.
· Effective in written and verbal communication in English.
· The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%of the time.
