Chemonics seeks a Washington-based project manager to manage the company's IT enterprise-level projects. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

Define and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, resources, and risks

Manage projects to ensure timely and within-budget deliveries

Gather user requirements and manage client expectations

Prepare detailed design and requirements documentation

Nurture clear communication with project staff and clients

Work effectively with project staff and clients and ensure that appropriate parties are involved and engaged to achieve project goals

Conduct periodic project status meetings with project staff and clients

Provide reports to project sponsors and senior management

Champion project management best practices

Participate in IT organizational process improvement initiatives

Partner with business and IT leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to benefit the company

Participate in identifying problems and suggesting solutions that the IT organization can implement

Promote maturity, dependability, integrity, and initiative at all levels within the company

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field required

Minimum four years of IT project management experience, including at least one year managing a project at the enterprise level

Experience in systems development life cycle (SDLC) required

Requirement analysis and management skills required

Knowledge of web development principles and techniques required

Knowledge of data analysis and database design required

Experience directly managing developers preferred

Experience in Microsoft technologies preferred

Some programming experience desirable

Demonstrated understanding of information systems, business processes, and the key drivers and measures of success for the company

Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge

Ability to operate at advanced levels of authority and manage significant activities and resources to produce and take responsibility for results

Proven ability to lead presentations, training courses, and meetings

Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team

U.S. work authorization required

Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
