Chief of Party, Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Program, Haiti
Project HOPE seeks qualified candidates for the position of Chief of Party for the anticipated project to reinforce care and support services for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in Haiti.
Position Summary:
The Chief of Party will provide overall project leadership and manage all financial, administrative and programmatic operations of the Project which aims to deliver high quality services to Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Haiti. Specific responsibilities include:
•Oversight of all OVC-related activities areas, including food and nutrition services, health, economic strengthening, shelter, psychosocial support, education and child protection
•Satisfactory attainment of all Project objectives and results, including the management and coordination of sub grants issued to national NGOs, CBOs, and communications with local governments
•Successful management of all Project stakeholder relations in close collaboration with USAID and the Government of Haiti
•Technical leadership and oversight of all program activities
•Oversight of financial management and procurement; ensuring compliance with donor rules and regulations
•Supervision of planning, quality assurance and program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
Qualifications:
•Advanced degree in Public Health, Social Work, International Development/Relations or related field
•10-15 years of international, field-based experience managing large, multi-partner development programs
•Extensive work experience in developing countries, Haiti experience strongly preferred
•Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects; at-risk youth and OVC program management experience preferred
•Excellent written and oral communication skills; fluency in English; excellent spoken French Haitian candidates with local language skills are strongly encouraged to apply. This position will be contingent upon receipt of funding. The position will be based in Haiti and will report to Project HOPE’s Regional Director.
