The Civil Society Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Fund II (CS WASH Fund/the Fund) is an Australian aid initiative funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The Fund is overseen by the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WSH) Section within DFAT and managed by the CS WASH Fund Management Facility (FMF) under contract to GRM International Pty Ltd (GRM).
Purpose of Role
The Program Coordinator (PC) will be engaged to support the activities of both the management and knowledge and learning (K&L) components of the CS WASH Fund. The position is full time, based in GRM International’s office in Brisbane, and has been classified as A2 under the DFAT Adviser Remuneration Framework.
Duration
The position will be through to 6 March 2016 with an option at GRM’s sole discretion and on agreement with DFAT for up to an additional 2 years.
Minimum education and experience required
General Qualifications and Experience
- Degree-level qualifications in a related field; and
- Previous experience in program coordination and project management.Technical / Professional Skills
- An understanding of Australia’s aid program, key economic, political, social and cultural issues in development and whole-of-government policy;
- Demonstrated experience in program coordination;
- Highly developed administration skills;
- Demonstrated experience in event management preferred;
- Demonstrated experience in issues in developing countries preferred;
- Proven ability to facilitate e-communication and web-based technologies for professional purposes;
- Effective communication and writing skills;
- Commitment to the principles of gender equality;
- High level of proficiency in written and spoken English essential;
- Previous experience working in the area of knowledge management would be an advantage; and,
- Previous experience working in the WASH sector would be an advantage.Skills – interpersonal
- Excellent verbal communication and team-working skills.
Salary
The terms and conditions of the contractor’s employment are contained in the Australian Government’s Adviser RemunerationFramework (ARF). This position is defined as A2 under the ARF.
