Background

For more than 45 years, GRM has been bringing expertise in managing large-scale projects, and sourcing and managing high quality experts covering all disciplinary skills required to implement development projects.
We are seeking an experienced candidate to join GRM as a Practice Area Specialist in the Education Practice division. This person will be supporting Education projects within GRM, but with a particular focus on the new “Education Panel”. The Education Panel is a DFAT initiative to source short-term project expertise in education for technical projects abroad.
The Role
Working with the Education Practice Area team, the primary responsibility of the role is to lead the Panel Help Desk, and will be the key point of contact for all Panel requests and Services Orders. The position will be required to work with a diverse group of professionals both within and external to the Australian Aid Program and will need to be able to work with teams ensuring that activities contribute to agreed outcomes.
The role spans several Practice Area fields including Business Development, Project Management, and providing Technical Input/Sector Expertise.

The Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
Specific experience required
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of government client project management and business development experience that includes management of one or more projects including experience in project start-up and closeout
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in working in a developing country or in a project based environment
- Experience contributing to or managing at least 1-2 successful major bids (including each of or a combination of structuring bid financials, team selection, drafting technical response and partner negotiations)
- Demonstrated success in working with Ministries of Education, Associations & CSO.
- Recognized technical expertise and experience in the Education Sector including work on bilateral/multilateral, INGO education projects, presentations at conferences and published articles.

- Ability to conceptualize and write a bid proposal or project report.
