POSITION/SCOPE WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION

  • This position reports directly and functionally to the Director Food Security and Livelihoods.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Food Security Program Coordinator is expected to provide technical support and administrative backstopping to FH food security programs and US-based food security capacity building program, as well as developing new USAID/OFDA and State Department-funded programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Key Result #1 – Participate in the USAID funded food security capacity building program (approximately 40% of time).

Key Result #2 – Provides technical and administrative support for the development of new programs (approximately 30% of time)
Key Result #3 – Provide administrative backstopping for Food for Peace (FFP), OFDA and State Department funded FH programs (approximately 25% of time).
Key Result #4 – Represent the organization at PVO coordination and briefing meetings in Washington, DC (approximately 5% of time).
