The International Economic Growth Division conducts projects in agriculture, economic development, labor, privatization, environment, and trade. We work in developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Our clients include the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and multilateral financial institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA with 6 - 8 years of experience OR MA/MBA with 3 years of experience OR PhD (Entry Level) OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Abt Associates is looking for a Senior Analyst to support the International Economic Growth Division's evaluation practice. Job requirements will including leading impact evaluations of international development programs in developing countries, designing evaluations, conducting analysis, developing questionnaires, overseeing data collection and interacting with implementers. The position also requires proposal writing and support to business development activities to build IEG’s evaluation portfolio of work.
Skills Prerequisites:
Degree in Agriculture, Environmental Economics or Economics with focus on economic development.
Preferred candidates will have a strong interest in development work and have completed at least one evaluation in the international development field, ideally in agriculture development or climate change, experience designing and implementing surveys, overseeing survey firms, and field work in developing countries. Excellent writing abilities and strong quantitative skills are critical. Expert knowledge of STATA/SAS and MS Excel. Preferred candidates will have Spanish and/or French language skills.
