MISSION STATEMENT

POSITION/SCOPE WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION

  • This position reports directly and functionally to Senior Director Resource and Program Development.
  • This position reports indirectly to the Senior Director of Grants Acquisitions and Partnerships.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position plays primary role in supporting FH to increase grant funding from government, foundation and corporate sources. The Grant Development Coordinator will work with country offices, sectoral program teams and the grant finance teams to help identify grant opportunities, determine their appropriateness, and coordinate grant development and submission processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Key Result #1 – Coordinate grant development processes (approximately 55% of time).

  1. Serve as main point of contact w/in FH to process public, corporation and foundation grant opportunities;
  2. Support the development and maintain partnership arrangements for grant opportunities in collaboration/partnership with field offices and technical sector leads. Assist in the elaboration and sharing of capacity statements and teaming agreements;
  3. Facilitate proposal development between field office, technical support sector and government finance teams;
  4. Create proposal development calendar, facilitate meetings and communication between involved parties;
  5. Ensure all requirements of funding opportunities are met in the proposal;
  6. Contribute to proposal writing where able, including sections related to global organizational capacity and prior experience;
  7. Coordinate budget development between field offices and finance team;
  8. Coordinate proposal review and submission.

Key Result #2 – Assist in identifying grant opportunities and facilitating grant determination processes (approximately 20% of time).**Key Result #3** – Manage and archive grant information (approximately 15% of time).
