SFCG seeks to help conflicting parties understand their differences and act on their commonalities. Summary of Position
The Program Associate (PA) is a fulltime position providing administrative and research services to The Strategic Development (SD) department. The PA will report to the Director, Strategic Development. Working closely with the President and CEO, the Strategic Development department cultivates relationships and raises funds for the core mission of the organization from individuals, foundations, and corporations. The position is for immediate hiring with employment to begin in January 2015.
Responsibilities
The PA will offer the following kinds of administrative support:
- Assist with SD financial reporting, such as submitting receipts, check requests, preparing invoices, and compiling AMEX reports for SD Director
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contacts, donors and prospects in the SD and organization-wide databases
- Maintain departmental calendars and provide meeting reminders
- Make travel arrangements for SD staff
- Assist with research of donors and prospects as needed by Program Coordinator
- Take primary responsibility for 24-hour phone or email thank yous to donors; when donor is new, this includes inquiring how they learned of SFCG and what inspired them to give if it is not clear
- Assist SD Coordinator in event management, including researching sites, caterers, AV specialists, etc.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and other SD meeting documentation
- Assist SD department with mass mailings and other tasks and projects, as needed
- File and maintain general records

Salary:The beginning salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA or BS minimum education, in a relevant field desirable
- Detail-oriented, organized and efficient
- Team player for a larger goal
- Excellent written and verbal command of English language
- Personable in communications
- Proficiency in Google applications and Microsoft Powerpoint, Word, and Excel required
- Relevant administrative experience in other nonprofit organizations, government or corporations preferred
- Experience in fundraising or resource development desirable
- Familiarity with eTapestry, Salsa, Twitter and Facebook desirable
